Visual Storytelling is Educating

Italo Archive dedicates itself to uplifting the education of Italoamericani and the Diaspora with educational programs.

By offering programs on the diverse culture of Italians, we hope to preserve our culture with empathy.

Preservation has always been a foundational key that sets us apart in our programming. With these educational programs, we hope to expand the reach of knowledge and understanding of our diverse culture.

Enriching our current, past and future generations of Italians is a core value.

Education was a luxury that many Italians could not access at one point.

As part of our accessibility pledge, these events are accessible to all people. Read below for more information on our programs and what programs we’ll be offering.

Do you have an idea for a way to enrich our education whether by being a speaker, teacher, etc? Sharing your researching, etc? We would love to collaborate with you!

Programs:

Digital Events

We will be hosting events via Facebook, Google Hangouts, and Zoom on exciting things happening in the community.

From hosting historians, genealogists, famed Italoamericani to Italian native speakers! These vents will immerse Italoamericani, and Italians in learning new things!

Events will range from fun, virtual gatherings, to educational workshops. Come join “our table”!

Exhibitions

We’ll be hosting photographic and video exhibitions on our website that will be digital. The photographs will include Italoamericani immigrants in America, Italian Americans, and Italians in Italy.

Not only will we be working with Museums in America, but we will also be working with Italy to bring these photographs to you.

The best part is that we will be working with YOU too!

By partnering with the Italoamericani and Italians in our community and Italy, we can create digital exhibitions that are accessible and groundbreaking for people to partake.

Preservation

Preservation holds a lot of meaning for Italo communities. It strikes images of canning sugo in the summer or preserving family stories to keep future generations connected to their roots. Our preservation work believes in empathically and genuinely preserving the beauty of Italian communities.

We focus on preserving: images, family histories, the histories of Italoamericans and Italians, records, genealogies of Italoamerican and Italians, and the preservation of the legacy of Italianita for current and future generations.

As part of our accessibility pledge, these events are accessible to all people.

1. All programs and exhibitions will be free. That allows everyone can partake regardless of their financials situation. Donations are encouraged, however, if possible! Many images have costs involved.

2. We will host events digitally. It allows everyone to partake regardless of the pandemic, disability, or location.

3. All events will be accessible for people with disabilities. We will use closed captions, proper accommodations, and make our events meet the needs of anyone in attendance with a disability.

If you have an accommodation that you need met at any time, please email: Info@ItaloArchive.com
